It’s Friday and I’m in love

Yesterday I received a gorgeous new dress delivered by my postman. Last week Collectif had a big sale with 50% discount on everything to celebrate their new webshop. Unfortunately the servers crashed several times while I tried to shop, so all the dresses I wanted to buy, ended up being sold out. Luckily this baby was still available and of course I just had to wear it to work today. They did promise 28 degrees in Copenhagen ;).

Isn’t it lovely? I am absolutely in love <3

P.S. I already got 5 compliments on my Way to work – today is going to be a Good Day 🙂

How To Be Sexy In Flats!

It is no surprise that I love shoes – especially heels, but as many others I must admit that wearing heels everyday is impractical and it hurts – especially when living in Copenhagen. Everyday I promise my self that tomorrow will be the day I will learn how to wear flats without feeling like a duck when I walk. I just never get around to get started. This has to change…

A couple of years ago I read an interesting interview with shoe-designer Manolo Blahnik. And now I promise myself that I will practise and learn how to wear flats without loosing the elegance of my heels.

Manolo Blahnik said: “Flat shoes can be more elegant. You just have to work at it. You have to learn how to walk elegantly in them. Think of Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face, she walks in flat shoes like a reindeer with one front directly in front of another. Bridget Bardot – she is sex on flats! She’s beautiful! I hope it’s [2010] the year of the flat shoe. Just remember, you have to make them feminine. Practise walking in them.”

So ladies – let’s start practising. I got some inspiration here for you:

Domestic Diva is going out

Yay, tonight I am going to A cocktailbar in Copenhagen with my husband to meet up with a great girl/woman/lady that I know through Twitter.

I’m quite tired so I tried to lay down for 2 minutes and got all caught up in my skirt. Love it!

Have a great saturday out there and Consider yourself warned!

Blue velvet by Lana Del Rey for H&M?

So H&M announced that they are going to use Lana del Rey for their campaign. They call it “Blue Velvet” and the trailer can be seen here! No doubt the H&M collection is going towards the 1950ies – 60ies, but many questions are in my my head.

Will she be singing the song?

Will the video pay respect to the cult film “Blue Velvet”?

Is Lana Del Rey able to make another hit album, or will she be a “one hit wonder”?

I guess time will show. Meanwhile I will be down at H&M shopping for a couple of classic dresses and a leopard cardi 😉

See ya!

Faldt over standen “Knife for Life” i torvehallerne, og forelskede mig i et absolut skønt knivsæt.

… Next life maybe! “Knife for Life” – you rock!

Gotta love Copenhagen <3

Familytrip to Copenhagen today. It involved big time shopping at Arnold Busck (Huge Danish Bookstore), and the Childrens Bookstore. So many great books just waiting to be read. Today I focused on typical Coffee table books that reminded me of times gone by. Books have now been bought for the whole family, and a lovely saturday night was spent with the 4 of us behind each of our book. Action, Hobby, children books, and last but not least – a new book about Chanel for me <3.

We ended our trip with a great lunch with friends at Charlottenborg Café. After that  a trip to “Torvehallerne” (Yummie – Confit de Canard, whitewine & smoothies are now resting in our tummies).

Fell in love with the small shop “Knife for Life” at “Torvehallerne”, and fell hopelessly in love with a set of knifes. Matching forkes were available, and they were to die for. So was the price….

My husband lost his heart to a fab kitchenknife. The price was around 300USD/1500GBP. X-mas gift? Next life maybe! “Knife for Life” – you rock!
